I took an infopass appointment today. The IO sent an e-mail to NSC after taking details like DOB, address etc. for me and my wife.
btw, FP for us has been scheduled. Looks like they have some kind of a queue for that but a notice has not been sent out.
So that was it. Am going to wait it out patiently.

Are you telling that FP was already sceduled even before you went for Infopass?
Could you tell when case was transferred to NSC and when NSC received it? What is the FP data?

I got the welcome notice in mail.
I got the cards in the mail.
I did not get the 'approval notice' yet(mailed on aug 22).
Does it matter?

Thanks sledge for your support.. That's exactly what I meant. One should at least have a job before applying for H1. I am in totally favor of H4 visa holders to be able to work. There are so many highly educated and talented people out there who are stuck at home or school because of H4 work permit law.
I wish good luck to all H4 visa holders and other people who are stuck in this immigration system.
The problem with him and many others including me is people like the OP, and in case you are also one of them, then we all have a problem with people like YOU!!!!!
He never claimed his wife was better than the OP. All he is saying is that his wife HAD a job, which is the minimum requirement to apply for an H-1B. He never said that converting from H4 to H1 is illegal!

The derivative files using primary's PD. read all posts in this thread, the I485 form and INA. it is clearly in the law.
This thread is discussing about quota. not PD.
In essence none will be affected ( ofcourse EBdependents and existing FB2A may get delayed slightly , that is ok)
I think the FB2A category has a cutoff date of 08OCT04 according to the current bulletin.

I called and talked to a level 2 officer and she could not find us in the system.
Filed on July 19th. 140 approved from NSC in June 2006. NSC is receipting August 2nd applications. Very frustrationg and I dont know how long it will take.

My I-140 applied on july 13 2007 at NSC Transferred to TSC on 07/23/2007.
I-485/EAD/AP applied for me and my wife on 08/07/2007 at NSC per USCIS current filing instructions based on area where we live.

1, Let choose an attorney who understands our pain wants to fight for our cause. if its Rajiv Khanna so be it.
2, Whatever the inital attorney consultion let split the consultation fee between five of us.
3, Once we have a stream lined class action in place will gather more people.

let us mass file FOIA with USCIS every month. Let us overburden them iwth information that we want to get. Officially they can act on our request or deny it in 20 office days. Then we should file a lawsuit based on FOIA if USCIS does not provide information in 20 business days.

They are not personal checks. So there is no way for me to find if the checks were cashed or not. But attorney said, it takes minimum two weeks. But it looks like many have gotten their receipts.

On July 15th I have filed for renewal of EAD for both of us, today I got approval email where as my wife status says received and pending and NO LUD either. Infact she needs EAD as she is been working on EAD and it expires in October. I am on H1. Why like that? My PD will be current from September as per September bulletin.

Finally all my checks have been cashed today. Reached application to NSC on July5th but as per checks back side the receipt no's allotted from Texas (Recepit no started SRC xxxxxxxxxxxx ) . Verified those receipt no's in online status and looks like they haven't entered yet in automatic system.

How many such cases are with uscis? And what happens to the one you filed for yourself?
During July 07, i know some of the couples did apply twice once a primary and other as dependent on the other. In July 07, wife and i did not take that approach and had separate applications. In August 08, i applied for my second 485 as her dependent since i would have to wait a decade to get gc through my application. For now, my other application shows under review. Once i get GC in my hands, then i will ask my compnay lawyer if there is a need for withdrawing my other application.

We worry about RP, EAD,AP etc. GC is not the end of the world. Is it worth worrying about the Plastic card.
