I have mulled over different options in my head for a long time. Here are some things I came up with:
- switch to a part time H1 (and do something else in your free time that you might find a little more fulfilling, i.e enrolling in PT grad program, starting a business (which you CAN do on an H1!!!), travel!!). I know there is the money factor but most of us are IT people and hopefully taking a cut will be worth the improved life.
- begin your Canadian PR process. This takes a lot less time and honestly, I think Canadians are more cultured anyway. Leave these people to their Paris and Nicoles :)

Don't worry Bro' this retrogrssion is artificial...
Cases Pending for year 2000, 2001, 2002 & 2003 may be few hundresds..
even single case is is pending(due to name check delays and and it has been cleared recently), they have to regtrogate to cover that case...
For EB2, retrogression is artificial, it doesnot reflect actual numbers.
March/April 2008 - will show up more realistic numbers..

I hope Franklin is there. Please convey my personal feeling that I consider him (+ all non-indians) to be an integral part of IV.
It would be great if we can showcase a multicultural group

I looked at both the service center webpages(texas & nebraska) & I-485 application has to be sent to Nebraska only.I do not understand now why they are transferring the application from nebraska to Texas

It is good to know that there are a few willing to do something about this!
But we need more people!
Even about 50 people is a good start! Come on people... spare a few minutes and take part in this protest!
Don't go on with your lives as if nothing happened and don't think that nothing will happen!
Most of us come from the land of Gandhiji... most of us have forgotten what that one little man achieved! But the fact is he couldn't have achieved everything that he did if the people of India didn't believe!
So start to believe people! You can make a difference!

As much as all of us on this board would like to get our GCs, remember that GC is just a means to an end, it is not the end itself. Dont make the GC so important that not getting it starts "depressing" you.
if you see life as a series of choices and actions, then the lack of GC inhibits a lot of choices and actions.
how badly you wish to change career for example, varies among individuals. but one should not forget that life is finite number of years, and the system here wants to eat all your productive years by dangling the GC carrot.
as sufferers of this ordeal, i believe it is our duty to inform the young and innocent who are not yet in this mess, about the future that awaits them.
mind you i am not discouraging anyone from coming to the US.. that is a decision that must be made by the individual.... just making sure the rules and realities of the game are known to people before they come here.

Sanju my friend, why sarcasm ? This is such wonderful information, why can't this be made more public, posted in a prominent position on IV ? Why should members do research to get this info when it can be relatively easily acquired by Quinn Gillespie & Assoc and given to core ? Come on man, a little bit of information like this goes a long way with members.
qasleuth, I don't believe that suri is for real. I think this guy is phony and will not spend a dime on anything other than his selfish self. I don't know why core or admins here do not give out this information, you could ask them, but I do know that folks here should grow up and be mature not scared to do their own research, because the best thing we can do for ourselves is, research and gain knowledge. I did a simple google search and within 5 minutes I found this information. So if someone wants to find information, there is no scarcity of relevant information online. The problem is, some folks don't want to move their fingers to do simple google search, but they have all the time in the world to find reasons to sit on their a$$ and not do anything. And that's just too much bull....
Tell this suri guy to go tell his friends that the EADs they flash every time allay their anxiety is because I and others like me paid for it. So I have earned and paid for the right to sarcasm with these elite educated illiterate idiots, if you know what I mean.

My lawyer sent I-485 docs to Vermont Service Center, which they received on 5th June but No Receipt or No Checks cashed yet.
