I have mailed my I-485/EAD/I-131 on July 26th and same were received at NSC on July 27th. I did get the receipt numbers for all the same yesterday. The receipt date is Aug 27th, 2007. I did have an TSC I140.

We have received our cards without getting CPO email. I got email for welcome notice sent on 08/05 and then approval notice sent on 08/08..got cards on 08/11..hope this helps...

If you think it is that ridiculuous, then you should tell the core members that. They did ask us to call him on the last day of LD. There is nothing wrong in writing to him. In fact, you are making a comparison that is not correct.

I was wondering about the FP notice time frame. I had applied for 485/EAD/AP on July 2nd at NSC which later got transferred to TSC. Receipts indicate that notice date is 8/27.
I was wondering how many days does it take to get FP notice from the 485 notice date? data indicates that some of the TSC guys who have notice dates of 8/29 have already got their FP notices scheduled for mid september.

Today, I received the approval notice in mail. However I did not get the physical cards. The notice says that I may have to do the biometrics again to get the but need not take any action at this time.
Received the "Card Production Ordered" email this evening at 6.30PM EST.

Yes, The word Gandhigiri is a combination of Gandhi - giri , the first is in reference to Mahatma Gandhi and giri is a slang for doing things in a certain way. Gandhigiri means protesting in a peacful way but in a way that embaresses the people being protested against.

so from the above post it is obvious Sen Menendez will consider a recapture provision only as part of a comprehensive bill. Atleast you got an email that addresses your expressed concern about backlogs. I just got the standard reply for DREAM Act, even though I had specifically spoken about LEGAL immigrants-

I've been coping with GC related stress by meditating as much as I can. Meditation releases endorphines which helps you calm down and have a clutter free mind. I know it is easier said than done, but it works. I also take meditative walks on weekends. We have trails near our house which take me to deep wooded area away from traffic and everything. I walk about 4-5 miles on weekends. Lately not walking due to cold. I also listen to Deepak Chopra, Joel Osteen, Wayne Dyer on Youtube. Hope this helps.

Let me answer that. I am from Fiji but I was born in India so I am stuck with rest of you and for my family going back is not an option. Fiji is very hostile to indians living there so for us it's here or nowhere. May be india is an option but we have very few distant relatives in India as both of our parents has passed away.
Though it is a big shock for me and my family, I have to get over it and think about their survival after me.
My apologies if I have given the impression as GC greedy but I can understand how difficult it is for someone to understand how is life without something you can call a "Home"

My reaction would have been the same if you were in Eb1 category. The fact is that I am trying to mobilize some people to get few things done. Of course, motivated by my self interest.
I am sorry SunnySurya but this issue DOES concern me. If everyone starts asking the IV core for their time just for their own issues, what about the rest of the community?
If you expect the IV core to dedicate it's time JUST for a particular secction of people, then you need to justify that demand.
In your opinion, EB3 is a LOWLY category as compared to EB2. So it is not enough that Nurses feed from it and just about EVERYONE else feeds from it. To top it off, overflow from eb1 goes FIRST to eb2 and then (and almost NEVER) to eb3. SO Eb2 gets a fair chunk of the greed cards, and over and above that you now want the IV core to further drop everything else and help JUST eb2 out? And who should make this demand? None other than someone who is trying to BREAK the community up into Eb2 vs Eb3.

I have a unique position. couple of weeks back I was told that have fatal cancer and won't live pass 4-6 months. After recovering from initial shock I am wondering if my wife will be able to continue her american dream or she will have to head home after me.
I have filed 485 with approved 140 back in june, 2007 with PD of March, 2003
Please help.

I am so truly sorry to hear of the passing of this gentleman and why there just has to be a compassionate visa introduced.
My dear husband passed very quickly with this horrendous illness, my prayers and thoughts are with the family, god bless

I agree to the point that: we pay for unemployment , SS tax etc when we ourselves are not eligible for any of that if we continue on H1, in fact we are supposed to exit this country when we loose job!!!

when europeans came here abt 500 years back, natives did not welcome them nor liked them. Now legal immigrants are coming , and you know how they are treated!!
so I guess system is behaving like normal. Its upto us to fight the system...
by demanding GC , we(for us and our generations) are asking for right to apply for citizenship, ultimately a right on the resource of this country(all resources including natural resource). So there has got to be fight/effort to get it. It will not come just doing what we do for living.
