I did get LUDs today. Both mine and my husbands I-485 and I-131. But nothing on I-765. Anyone has any idea why they took FP when my I-140 and EAD still pending?

I thought of going back after getting citizenship, but that would be another 8-9 years at the least. I would miss the big ride in India. When I went there(Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu) 3 years ago, I did not like it that much. But I see a big change in the last 3 years. Infrastructure is improving. Few of my friends have already gone back and are pretty happy over there.
I am from Hyderabad, l left that city in 1999 to do my MS, got my MS, switched a couple of jobs as i thought career growth / job satisfaction was more important than filing a GC, finally my present company filed my GC in 2009 (PD 2009), I am fed up of this laborious process, not everyone can take it, and I am one of them, and as I get older, I am getting more conservative and I find it difficult to adjust here. I am visiting India this year, if everything works out, I will be heading back, even with all the complaints about India, it still is my country of birth, and there is a saying, "Janani Janma bhoomishya swargadapi gariyasi", translated, Mother and motherland are superior to the Heaven.

There are lot of people whodo investments,have kids and buy houses and everything else when they are on H1.
I don't see any reason to hold off things on H1. If your wife did master's why don't get her on H1, there are so many job openings available in market.

Received FP notice today. The online tracker says following:
Current Status: Case received and pending.
On September 11, 2007, we received this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case.
My lawyer confirmed that the application was posted on august 2nd 07.
Can anyone help me figure out when is my receipt date? And from which date can I start counting 6 months to file ac21 ?

That is correct. It does vary from lender to lender. I got 100% from my lender. 1st loan 80% 2nd 20%.
This varies widely from lender to lender.
I was able to get approved for 100% financing for an investment property (which is even harder to get financing for). I decided not to buy it later though.
Always try different kinds of lenders. Big banks, small banks, credit unions. Also try mortgage brokers. Sooner or later you'll make a hit.

I laid out my plan above but yet to execute that :)
My situation is similar too.
The employer is not ready to file the 485, thinking that I may leave the company after 6 months.
I have the I-140 receipt notice , but no approval notice.
There is no way he is going to issue a employment letter , still debating my options.

My GC was approved on Aug.19, 2008 and received my Physical card on Aug. 22, 2008 :):). I am wondering what to do with the I 94 , which I received after my last re-entry to USA in 2006 using AP. Any info.

I don't believe it must be FIFO...just as what I told in the other forum.
It must be:
FIFT - First In, First Touch
and then;
FCFO - First Complete, First out
(Complete: approvable and PD current)

Yeah, I know my life sucks. I have a priority date of Jan 2003. Got filed under EB3 even though did MS here... I begged and pleaded that they atleast send it on Jan 28th. For god's sake, I was qualified all the way since June 1st. I gave all the documents necessary by June 6th itself. Well, but they had to file on 29th.
I hear you man. I am in exact same situation. I filed on June 29th inspite of having whole July. We will see what happens. Hope we will be fine!

I don't think its much different from what is posted. Only one time contributions are being considered for this event.
I have a shared doc with StarSun and all known ones have been accounted for the above total.
Only one month left to achieve our funding goals.
It does look like there are only a few hundred (~200) willing to actively participate for the good of others. About 0.04 % of all EB2, EB3 filers.
One possible strategy.......
Dividing 50,000 into that, it will be great if you hardworking people, fighting for legal immigrants, can touch about $200-400 each,
while the rest watch from the sidelines and cheer for us :), and also debate & analyze spiritedly.....
I'm at $300 now for this event

Ans: Problem is these 200k are form India and China only.:) So this 200k workload will be adjusted against 22000 total (EB2/3- China, India) per year and that is how 10 years.I think you guys are in good shape. I dont know why it will take 10 years.

None of this damn crap is fair. There are 3 lines in the green card queue. 1) Labor/PERM line, further subdivided on the basis of BEC, PERM, Employer willingness, exempt(NIW) etc. 2) the I-140 Line and 3) the I-485 line. These lines each have inconsistent patterns depending upon the winds of the day, a few years ago, LC/BEC lines were long, employers were less willing to sponsor green cards, and there was no I-140 PP processing, now all of a sudden PERM is there, PP of 140 came into being, and 485 became an eternal wait and country quotas came into being. For those that got screwed with BECs then PP 140 got removed when they were ready to file and now PD retrogressed into the stone age, it sure would seem like non sense for the guy who got PERM in 2 weeks, then PP 140 in 10 days and filed 485 in he July fiasco. Nevertheless you are only speaking in terms of degrees of getting screwed, since all are being done so by an unpredictable and unreliable system.
None of this damn crap is fair, we all know it. The only fair thing is for this country to decide who it wants and needs and sort them out ASAP. A wait of 2yrs, 5yrs or 10 yrs is immaterial, all of the above are ridiculous in EB immigration, degrees of unfairness is splitting hairs if you ask me. Up to 2 yrs is understandable, but beyond that implies a broken system which we need to lobby to fix. If we can all agree on that then, we have a platform to move forward with, otherwise we will get nowhere. When you average out the way most immigrants came to this land....................all of us are way more contributing and deserving, lets try to remind people of that as well as our future potential.
